RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS

In March 2023, the Slovenian Youth Saxophone Orchestra SOS went in Paris on its farthest and at the same time most important tour to date. Professor Nicolas Prost, the selector of the day-long event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor Daniel Deffayet, who in his time was the leading saxophonist of the famous French saxophone school and a long-time professor at the Paris Conservatory of Music, recognized our quality and invited us!

Homagge a Deffayet took place on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Regional Conservatory of Paris on Rue de Madrid. At this Conservatory the most famous saxophonist of the 20th century, Professor Marcel Mule and later his student Daniel Deffayet, taught during the golden age of the saxophone.

The SOS Orchestra is the first of its kind that had the oportunity in the cradle of the saxophone to present the Slovenian Saxophone School, which is increasingly appreciated in the world. In addition, with our presence and appearance, we also demonstrated our own vision and »know-how« of work with young people, who has been doing so well for a decade. Our work also receives international and recognition from leading experts from around the world.

With our excellent performance, we received a lot of APPROVAL and at the same time the AMAZEMENT from the French professional saxophone public and others present. You can see some highlights in the photos below.
